Welcome to Baker Elementary!

The faculty and staff of J. R. Baker Elementary School would like to welcome you to our our school. Thank you for visiting to learn more about us.  We strive to provide the best education for all students. We believe parents, students, and teachers must all be involved for the benefit of each child’s education.

sion:  Baker Elementary will be a school where EVERYONE will GROW by being Goal oriented, Risk takers, Owning our choices, and Working collaboratively to learn.

Vision: Ensuring ALL will GROW!

We would like to announce our Teacher of the year at Baker Elementary, Mrs. Sondra Martin.
Mrs. Martin has an incredible energy and enthusiasm for her students and teaching. She has been teaching for 8 years and has been an important part of Baker for 4 of those years. Her second grade students are provided amazing experiences that help relate their lessons to real life. She also organized Baker's first student council.
The job is just a part of her wonderful character. Her involvement in the community is more than just education. The Parker's Project is one that integrates literacy and community. She also coordinates and helps with Stuff the Bus and Shop with a Cop.

We just wanted to send out a friendly reminder that any food sent to school that is to be shared with your child's classroom, such as cupcakes, cookies, etc., must be store bought and in the original package (with ingredients listed) due to allergens. We appreciate your consideration in this matter. Our student's health and safety is our number one concern. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
